Virginia Tech homcoming
The story behind the video...
I was overwhelmed with work this past homecoming season at Virginia Tech. I got the opportunity to interview and film five of the homecoming candidates for Humans of Virginia Tech (HOVT). Unbelievably, HOVT now has over 9,000 followers on Facebook and recently launched a brand new website! It’s always a pleasure to create content for such an interactive platform where I get to see the reactions to my content from students across the school. The videos I made were quite short due to time and filming constraints, but took hours of coordinating schedules and such to complete. It was a joy to meet the potential students that would represent our school and learn about each of their community outreach platforms as well as the reason they attended Virginia Tech in the first place. I can’t wait to continue filming this upcoming semester!
On top of completing these videos for HOVT, I was asked by one of the candidates, Ryan Hopkins, to produce his homecoming video. This process took well over two weeks of planning, filming, and editing but I am extremely proud of the product.
